Tariff Calculator
Calculate the import duty on your shipment. Enter the HS code and the customs value of your goods to see the estimated duty owed.
How the Tariff Calculator Works
The calculator looks up the US tariff rate for your HS code and multiplies it by your shipment value to estimate the duty owed. It also checks whether a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) preferential rate applies, which could reduce your duty to zero.
Example Calculation
Ball Bearings (HS 84821050)
| Rate Type | Rate | Duty on $50,000 shipment |
|---|---|---|
| General (MFN) | 9% | $4,500 |
| FTA preferential (JPA, KORUS, etc.) | Free | $0 |
| Your savings with FTA | $4,500 |
If your product qualifies for a Free Trade Agreement preferential rate, the duty can be reduced to zero. To qualify, the goods must meet the rules of origin specified in the agreement, and you must have proper documentation (e.g., a certificate of origin).
